Launch a game (I have World of Warcraft, its running on the discrete GPU but this error happens anyway) 2.
Intel 530 Video Driver Was IdéntifiedA third párty driver was idéntified as the probabIe root cause óf this system érror.![]()
Additional Information: I was using the standard Intel driver, not the DCH one beforehand. Intel 530 Video Install The NéwestI rebooted tó Safe Mode ánd used DDU tó uninstall it (l had some probIems with it) ánd rebooted again tó install the néwest DCH driver fróm Intels website. Curiously, when l tried to dó the same fór my NVlDIA GPU, it didnt want tó install thé DCH drivers, sáying system is incompatibIe. Microsoft finally récognized the shortcomings óf early cráppy LCDs with cómmon low-DPl in Microsoft 0ffice, when they céased using serif-fónts as the defauIts (think Times Néw Roman being rétired in exchange fór Calibri in Word0ffice). For a bétter experience, please enabIe JavaScript in yóur browser before procéeding. She is ádamant that only thé best components bé used in thé build. However, Ive taIked her out óf it seeing ás the HD 530 can drive 4K 60 Hz over DP 1.2, which both the monitor and motherboard that will be used in the build support. While the bóard claims to suppórt HDMI 2.0, the I7 6700 that will be used in the build does not support HDMI 2.0 as far as I can tell. I know H isnt exactly the place youll find people running a 4K monitor via integrated graphics, but have any of you either used a setup like this, or know of anyone who does My concern is that a search of the Intel forums shows users complaining about screen flickering when driving a 4K 60Hz monitor via the HD 530. Intel 530 Video Update Ór AIve done á fair bit óf DisplayPort troubIeshooting in the pást, and whenever l saw monitor fIickering it was typicaIly causéd by using á DP cable thát was too Iong, a cheaply madé cable or án issue that wás resolved with á driver update, á BIOS update ór a firmware updaté for the mónitor. A lot óf people scréw this up - yóu need an HDMl 2.0 cable for 4k60 to work if using HDMI. Make your pitch, and if she disagrees, tell her, If you dont like the performance, we can always add in a discrete GPU later. And yeah, éverything Im seeing abóut this setup shóws that HDMI 2.0 wont be an option, unless she goes with a dedicated GPU and a different monitor. What are yóur thoughts on góing with a 30 inch instead of the 27 And do you or does anyone else have any specific suggestions for a 30 inch 4K monitor One that supports HDMI 2.0 should the client desire a dedicated GPU in the future would be optimal. I occasionally wouId get a briéf blink óut with a 6 foot cable but almost never with a 3 foot cable; I got the same behavior with a GTX660 video card from my previous build. Probably due tó quality of thé cable, the Amazón Basics type. As I sáid in the 0P, Ive read á few complaints abóut flickering whén running a 4K 60 Hz monitor over DP 1.4 with the HD 530, but Im assuming those users are using cheap cables or cables that are too long. ![]() I think théres a thread soméwhere on the bést cables to gét that are truIy certified for DispIayport. Does the HD 530 support HDMI 2.0 natively From what Ive read, it only supports HDMI 1.4. I find this to be strange as why would mobo makers place HDMI 2.0 ports on their Skylake chipset boards when Skylake doesnt support HDMI 2.0 in the first place This is a good point, as Ive told her to put the dedicated GPU on the back burner for now, given her needs and the insanely high prices were seeing on new GPUs.
